The Australian Government introduced legislation relating to the problem of Electromagnetic Interference (EMI). This legislation is called the Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Framework and came into effect on January 1, 1999. The legislation is enforced by the Australian Communications Authority (ACA), and has introduced technical limits for emissions from electrical and electronic products and communications services. Compliance is required for all Australian domestic sales of the equipment to which the legislation applies.

Autoscan gained accreditation in 1999, and we were issued a unique supplier code number, which is indicated on all systems sold in Australia which are subject to the legislation.
